Welcome to Red, White and Boom! This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on Red, White and Boom! mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
Red, White and Boom! is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Red, White and Boom! Every year around 4 July, the Columbus riverfront becomes the stage for the most spectacular firework display in the Midwest. An estimated crowd of 500,000 people are drawn along the route from south of Front Street to Spring and Main streets to commemorate Independence Day.
Celebrations begin at 10am, with WNCI 97.9, and later with NBC4i, broadcasting live from Civic Centre Drive. Taste of Boom!, in the Arena District, entertains the crowd with delicious food from local restaurants, music sessions by local bands, sport performances, games and prizes.
